19 Dec PANIRA Healthcare Clinic receives Collier Cares Grant to help the community during COVID-19 pandemic
The number of positive COVID-19 cases in Southwest Florida is on the rise again and PANIRA Healthcare Clinic wants to remind people to get tested, get treated and stop the transfer.
With the assistance of a Collier Cares Grant, PANIRA can now offer affordable PCR and antibody rapid COVID-19 testing daily with results in 15 to 30 minutes. The testing fee is being kept well below the average cost of other healthcare facilities in the area.
For those struggling financially, free rapid COVID-19 testing is being offered to the first 25 uninsured patients each Wednesday and Friday from 2 to 5:00 PM through the end of December. Insurance is also being accepted and the clinic is equipped to provide ongoing medical care and treatment for families, children, and the elderly after testing.
PANIRA Healthcare Clinic is ready to serve; the medical team wants to keep the community healthy and help get the pandemic under control. They welcome everyone from low-income, uninsured, and insured to Medicaid and Medicare participants. The goal is to reach those who cannot receive treatment due to financial burdens.
Husband and wife team, Lawrence J. Egger, PA-C and Geneve Mongene-Egger RN/BSN, recognized the need for affordable and free healthcare in Collier County several years ago and made it their goal to do something about it. As a result of their determination, they founded PANIRA Healthcare Clinic in 2015 as a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit, walk-in/primary care clinic in East Naples. With a combined 39 years of healthcare experience, the couple is actively providing charitable medical care to the community five days a week.
For those having symptoms or suspect they may have been exposed, please contact PANIRA Healthcare immediately for testing.
WHERE: The walk-in/primary care clinic is located at 4975 Tamiami Trail East in Naples, Florida.
