FREE Rapid COVID-19 testing to be offered at PANIRA Healthcare Clinic

Wednesday, November 25

(Naples, FL – November 18, 2020) The number of positive COVID-19 cases is on the rise again in Southwest Florida, and PANIRA Healthcare wants to help get the pandemic under control by reminding people to get tested, get treated and stop the transfer. To help prepare for the Thanksgiving weekend, PANIRA is offering the community assistance with a free rapid testing event.

FREE Rapid COVID-19 testing will be available for the FIRST 50 uninsured patients on Wednesday, November 25, from 9 a.m. to noon at PANIRA Healthcare Clinic. Insurance will also be accepted from those who have it. Walk-in patients are welcome.

The Clinic continues to offer free testing daily to anyone who makes the request; for those tests, patients will have results in 2 to 3 days.  PANIRA also offers affordable rapid COVID-19 testing daily with results in 15 to 30 minutes. Both, the molecular rapid test and antibody testing, are being made possible with the support of a Collier Cares Grant.

Since 2015, PANIRA Healthcare, a 501 (c)3 not-for-profit, has been providing affordable medical care for children, families, and elderly patients in Collier County.

According to the PANIRA staff, staying alert to coronavirus symptoms such as fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea is crucial.  The sooner an individual knows if they have the virus or not is vitally beneficial to the well-being of their families, friends, and co-workers. COVID-19 affects people differently and those infected have had a wide range of symptoms.

COVID-19 symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus and PANIRA Healthcare wants to help those in need get the testing and treatment they need. PANIRA Healthcare Clinic is also equipped to provide ongoing medical care and treatment for those in need after testing.

COVID-19 testing provided by PANIRA Healthcare is financed in part by U.S. Department of Treasury, Florida Division of Emergency Management, and Collier County Community and Human Services Division.

WHERE: The walk-in/primary care clinic is located at 4975 Tamiami Trail East in Naples, Florida.
